RMS — the initials of Rose-Marie Swift
The question “What is RMS Beauty?” cannot be answered without naming Rose-Marie Swift. She is not only the brand’s namesake, RMS are her initials, but its heart and soul. As one of the world’s most sought-after make-up artists, she worked for over 30 years with supermodels including Gisèle Bündchen and Miranda Kerr, and for publications including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. But success came at a price: after severe health problems, Rose-Marie had a comprehensive blood, urine and hair analysis carried out, the shocking result: her body was burdened with chemicals and heavy metals that she used daily in her work with conventional cosmetics. The laboratory technician immediately asked: “Do you work in the cosmetics industry?”
This turning point changed everything. Rose-Marie recognised that cosmetics must not only make women look more beautiful, but must also be safe. In 2009 she founded RMS Beauty, bold, authentic and unwavering in her pursuit of clean ingredients that genuinely perform. The brand became a pioneer of the global clean beauty movement, long before the term became a trend.

The Philosophy
Raw Food Grade — food-quality ingredients for the skin
What sets RMS Beauty apart from other clean beauty brands is not only what is left out, but how the remaining ingredients are used. All RMS products are formulated with ingredients in so-called “Raw Food Grade” quality: raw, food-grade and organically certified actives in their natural state. They are not heated, in order to preserve their living enzymes and nutrients. The foundation of many formulas is raw, centrifuged coconut oil, antimicrobial, deeply nourishing and the base of the legendary RMS Glow.
RMS Beauty is free from a wide range of problematic ingredients, including parabens, synthetic fragrances, GMOs, sulphates, phthalates, talc and gluten. All ingredients are fully and transparently disclosed, including fragrances, which are never synthetic. RMS is PETA-certified and does not conduct animal testing.

The original multi-use classic from RMS Beauty: a creamy, highly pigmented formula made with buriti oil, shea and cocoa butter. Applied with the fingers to the cheeks, it creates a natural flush, on the lips a sheer, buildable colour. Rose-Marie developed it because this was exactly how she worked backstage: one product, multiple areas. It can also be used as an eye make-up, though it may not suit all skin types for this purpose. Mixed with the Luminizer, it creates a shimmering, moisture-rich finish.
The best-selling RMS concealer is both a concealer and a light foundation in one. Formulated with organic coconut oil, castor oil, beeswax, cocoa butter and jojoba oil, it covers redness without blocking pores, and delivers a finish that looks like real, healthy skin. Available in 16 shades. The mineral pigments adapt gently to the skin tone. Rose-Marie’s tip: a small amount blended with the Living Luminizer creates an all-natural illuminating effect for the eye area.
The award-winning highlighter that redefined the “lit-from-within” look. No glitter, no shimmer, instead an ultra-sheer, opalescent radiance from castor and coconut oil with beeswax and rosemary extract. It melts into the skin and catches light exactly where the face is naturally elevated: cheekbones, bridge of the nose, lip border, eyelids. Rose-Marie’s favourite application: the Luminizer on cheekbones, brow bone, collarbones, shoulders and eyelids, or on shoulders and knuckles for an evening look. Tip: a small amount blended with UnCoverup creates an all-natural glow effect for the eye area without the drying effect of conventional products.

The RMS Concept — Step by Step
RMS Beauty follows a clear philosophy: fewer, highly effective products that work in harmony with each other and with the skin. Rose-Marie Swift explicitly recommends applying most RMS products with the fingers, the so-called “Skin-to-Skin” principle. The warmth of the fingers activates the textures and ensures seamless blending with the skin. The result: a finish that looks as if the skin is glowing from within.
The creamy textures of RMS Beauty are formulated with organic coconut oil, which is naturally antimicrobial. This makes the products particularly long-lasting, even without synthetic preservatives. A further hallmark of the RMS concept: many products can be used on multiple areas of the face and blended together, simplifying the daily routine and reducing the number of products needed.
The UnCoverup is the ideal first step: applied with the fingers precisely to areas needing more evening-out, redness, dark circles, minor blemishes. Its formulation with coconut oil, castor oil and cocoa butter covers gently while simultaneously caring for the skin. The mineral pigments adapt to the skin tone. Those wanting more coverage across the whole face reach for the ReEvolve Natural Finish Liquid Foundation, which delivers a natural, non-greasy finish.
Lip2Cheek is the centrepiece of the RMS multitasking philosophy. For cheeks: apply with the fingers or the Skin2Skin Blush Brush to the centre of the cheeks, starting above the nostrils to optically lift the face. For lips: take a small amount on the ring finger, press into the centre of the lips and blend outward. Build up for more intensity. For a shimmering finish or softer colour: mix Lip2Cheek with the Luminizer, this creates a moisture-rich, luminous variation.
The Living Luminizer is applied sparingly with the fingers or a brush to the elevated areas of the face: cheekbones, bridge of the nose, inner corners of the eyes, lip border (Cupid’s bow). For the eye area, apply to the centre of the lid just above the lashes. Rose-Marie’s tip: mix Luminizer with UnCoverup and apply under the eyes, this conceals dark circles while simultaneously giving a fresh, illuminated finish without the drying effect of conventional products. The Master Radiance Base works as a primer under make-up or as a highlighter over it.
The Eyelights Cream Eyeshadows are applied with the fingers on the lid, this activates the texture and ensures a seamless result. They have a subtle, modern luminosity, do not dry out the lid, and work like an eye cream with colour. Multiple shades can be blended directly on the lid. Next: the Straight Up Volumizing Peptide Mascara adds volume and length to lashes without clumping. The Straight Line Kohl Eye Pencil is ideal for soft liner definition, it can be smudged shortly after application.
The Wild With Desire lipsticks are highly pigmented and long-lasting, for a perfectly defined look, RMS recommends using a lip liner in your own natural lip colour (not the lipstick shade). This gives a softer, more natural appearance. The exception: with red, a red liner combined with the red lipstick creates the classic iconic look. The Legendary Lip Oil offers 8 hours of hydration with a rich shine in 9 cool and warm shades, ideal as daily care or layered over lipstick for added gloss.

It contains squalane, glycerin and cartilage seaweed for active moisture care while powdering. For which skin type?
RMS Beauty — especially well-suited to dry and mature skin
The oil-based, creamy formulation of RMS Beauty makes the brand an ideal choice for dry, mature and sensitive skin. Those who find that conventional make-up products dry out, stress or emphasise their skin rather than concealing imperfections will find a genuine change of approach in RMS Beauty. The raw food grade oils, coconut, castor, jojoba, nourish actively while being worn and do not give the skin the feeling of being under a mask.
For oily skin or a greasy T-zone: the creamy formulas are generally suitable, but can be mattified and set in areas of high moisture with the Hydra Setting Powder or UnPowder. RMS recommends avoiding products with synthetic oils or certain hyaluronic acid types underneath, as these can create a film that affects the result.
