This allows me to apply the beautiful, soothing ingredients to the surface of the emulsion and ensure that they are in direct, soothing contact with the skin as I apply the mask. It's a lot of work, but it's essential as it allows me to ensure that the skin benefits from the purifying effects of the natural clay without the unpleasant side effects of dryness, dehydration, tightening or cracking.
The painstaking and time-consuming production means that I can only make 50 jars a month. However, if I had to mix all the ingredients in a blender, the clay would quickly absorb and 'lock in' all the soothing oils and active molecules, so it would no longer be effective.
