Back to nature - connecting with it. This makes sense especially in the (big) city. We are fans of such beautiful concepts as urban gardening and believe that naturalness and freshness should also be the top priority for cosmetics that we absorb through our skin.
Why change what Mother Nature has designed perfectly? The potential of plants is overwhelming. That's why we have been producing our natural cosmetics in our manufactory in Berlin-Kreuzberg since 2011, fresh and in small batches for our customers, with full admiration for the diverse healing and effective power of the plants and a thick portion of passion. The natural oils and plant waters we use bundle a maximum of active ingredients in themselves, which is why the products of Urban Cosmetics Berlin get by with only a few ingredients, true to our motto: Give your skin what it really needs.
We attach great importance to sustainability and use organic and, if possible, fair trade certified raw materials from small producers. All ingredients are vegan and of course not tested on animals.
Plastic packaging is also taboo at Urban Cosmetics Berlin. Out of love for nature we fill our articles in returnable glass containers. In violet glass they are packed light-protected, this extends the shelf life in a natural way. If you bring the returnable bottles back to our shop, you will get one Euro each back. Instead of packing them in cardboard boxes, we wrap our glass bottles in a reusable cotton bag and also during shipping we take care to avoid garbage as much as possible. As filling material we use wood wool, which we scent with some essential oil. As a small gift we add decorative rose blossoms, which together with the fragrant wood wool should make unpacking a pleasure.
