What is behind Dr. Hauck?
Dr. Hauck is not just a cosmetics brand name — it belongs to a real scientist. Dr. David Hauck studied chemistry and completed his doctorate in dermatological medical sciences at the University of Witten-Herdecke, one of Europe’s leading university institutes for experimental dermatology. From this scientific foundation he established his own research institute in the Allgäu region, specialising in the study of natural substances in cosmetics.
The result of this decades-long work: a natural cosmetics line carrying over 70 studies and more than 10 patents. Dr. Hauck resolves the classic conflict of natural cosmetics — maximum tolerability alongside demonstrable efficacy. All products are free from fragrances and mostly formulated without emulsifiers.

The Dr. Hauck Skincare Concept — Step by Step
Dr. Hauck follows a deliberately streamlined skincare philosophy: fewer, highly effective products that complement each other perfectly and are suitable for all skin types, seasons and changing skin needs. The order of application matters — each step prepares the skin for the next and maximises the effect of the patented active complex.
All Dr. Hauck products are free from fragrances and mostly formulated without emulsifiers. This makes them exceptionally well-tolerated — including for sensitive skin, allergy sufferers and those with eczema-prone skin. Unless otherwise stated, each product can be used morning and evening.
The Cleanser is a delicate, emulsifier-free cleansing milk with certified organic neroli hydrolate that gently and effectively removes make-up, sebum and environmental residues — without disrupting the natural skin barrier. The Micellar Water uses micellar technology to dissolve both water- and oil-soluble residues and is also suitable for the delicate eye area.
The Toner is applied after cleansing — either massaged in with the fingertips or gently patted on with a dampened cotton pad. Pure Alpine spring water, witch hazel flower hydrolate and willow bark extract calm, hydrate and optimally prepare the skin for the serum or moisturiser that follows. Even after the toner alone, skin appears visibly more even and balanced.
The Lifting Serum uses a high concentration of hyaluronic acid for immediate line-smoothing and intensive moisture. The Calming Serum is specifically developed for irritated and reactive skin: witch hazel hydrolate, candeia oil, comfrey tincture and aloe vera calm the skin, and the emulsifier-free formula is also suitable as a complementary care for rosacea. The serum is applied after the toner, followed by the moisturiser.
According to skin needThe 7 Day Cream is applied daily after cleansing and over the serum to face, neck and décolleté — it can also be used as a night cream. The Water Cream is an ultra-lightweight gel-cream with a triple hyaluronic acid complex, the amino acid arginine and Scandinavian red algae for both immediate and long-lasting moisture. The Beauty Fluid works as a light daily base care suitable for all skin types.
Specialist care is used after the toner alongside the moisturiser — as an intensive course or as permanent supplementary care. The DNA Repair Serum protects against photoageing caused by visible light and infrared radiation, which conventional UV filters do not block. The Vitamin C Shot stimulates collagen synthesis, reduces age spots and — thanks to its slow-release vitamin C — is suitable for sensitive skin too. The Pump Up Hydro Booster, with three different hyaluronic acids and a vegan collagen booster from microalgae, delivers both instant and long-term hydration results.
Targeted treatments & boostsThe DNA Repair Eye & Lip Care was specifically developed for the delicate skin around the eyes and lips, containing the same patented active complex as the rest of the Dr. Hauck range. The Hyaluron Express Eye Pads are single-use pads for an intensive immediate treatment of the eye area — ideal as a quick boost or before special occasions.
