A light, sun-activated serum with provitamin D to increase the skin's vitamin D levels when spending less time in the sun.
Our skin is the natural factory for vitamin D, and it needs healthy levels for several important functions. These include:
Control of cell division: vitamin D controls cell division in the layers of our epidermis and is therefore very important for maintaining the thickness of our skin. Healthy vitamin D levels mean a plumper epidermis with a lower risk of hyperkeratinization (which would lead to rough skin and congestion).
Maintaining barrier function: Vitamin D helps to maintain several elements of the skin barrier. Apply once a day or before sunbathing. Apply to the face and décolleté after cleansing and toning. The product can also be applied to all areas of skin exposed to the sun.
For optimal vitamin D synthesis, the skin should be exposed to direct sunlight for at least 5 minutes without SPF protection and foundation.
