Our Royal Patchouli soap exudes a deep, earthy scent of patchouli with a powerful and mystical note. The shea soaps from Savon du Midi are made in Provence, France. Soap production from vegetable oils has a long tradition around the Mediterranean. The main areas in the south of France are Marseille and Provence. Only vegetable oils from controlled organic cultivation (kbA) are used in the saponification process to make the soap. After saponification, shea butter and, depending on the variety, honey, perfume or essential oil are added during final processing.
Savon du Midi soaps are made using traditional Provençal soap-making expertise. This predominantly artisanal production method is reflected in the quality of a mild and nourishing soap. No animal fats are used in any of the soaps.
