As a gentle retinol alternative, we use the plant-based mat bean extract instead. Mat beanextract is also made from the seeds of the Indian mat bean. This acts  similarly to a retinol serum. Collagen synthesis is stimulated and DNA damage to the skin is prevented. Mat bean extract promotes skin renewal, smoothes the skin and makes it appear more even. My personal tip: Although this face cream is very light, the concentration of ingredients is almost similar to a serum.
