Back in the days when Houdini seduced women with his magic tricks, there was already the fragrance Trance by J.F. Schwarzlose. Even today, the perfume still fascinates with its magical notes of Turkish rose, rose absolute and precious oud. An advertising poster from the early 1900s captures the magic of Houdini's tricks. Harry Houdini, who thrilled both men and women with his escapist tricks and the disappearance of animals such as elephants, was famous in America and England, but his most important market remained Germany. The Schwarzlose family, who marketed various perfume brands worldwide, dedicated the poster with their fragrance Trance to Houdini. The advertisement shows an enchanted woman who cannot resist the seductive scent. Max Schwarzlose, who launched the fragrance under his own name at the time, even called it the "lady's talisman".
Schwarzlose Parfum is a traditional perfume brand from Berlin that can look back on a long and fascinating history and has now found its rightful place in Belladonna's perfume department. Founded in 1856 by Joachim Friedrich Schwarzlose, the company quickly developed into one of the most respected perfume houses in Germany. Schwarzlose Parfum was known for its exquisite fragrances and the high quality of its products and enjoyed great popularity both in Berlin society and internationally.
